As part of our commitment to forestry, as well as planting new trees it is equally as important to thin and fell when necessary. Felling is essential for several reasons, including disease, but in this case, two ageing poplar trees were identified as dangerous. As a result, one tree was completely removed and another significantly reduced to protect a neighbouring property. The trees were so brittle and vulnerable, it was too risky to attempt ropes, therefore, we created an ariel platform with a Spiderlift so the climber could carry out the surgery safely.
